On July 25, your senator put divisive politics ahead of teens' safety and put young women in danger by voting for Majority Leader Bill Frist’s deceptively titled "Child Custody Protection Act."

Frist’s bill would make it a federal crime for any person other than a parent – including a grandparent, aunt, or member of the clergy – to accompany a young woman for abortion care in another state unless she has complied with her home states’ parental-involvement mandates.
