On July 25, your senator cast a courageous vote against Majority Leader Bill Frist’s deceptively titled “Child Custody Protection Act.”

Frist’s bill would make it a federal crime for any person other than a parent – including a grandparent, aunt, or member of the clergy – to accompany a young woman for abortion care in another state unless she has complied with her home states’ parental-involvement mandates in.
