The fundamental issues of privacy and women’s reproductive freedom were front and center at Roberts’ hearing. He repeatedly refused to answer fair and direct questions, including whether the right to privacy extends to a woman’s right to choose. Roberts did nothing to alleviate pro-choice Americans’ fears that he poses a threat to Roe v. Wade. 

Your senator's decision to support John Roberts makes it even more imperative that we urge the president to nominate a consensus candidate to fill Sandra Day O’Connor’s seat.  Please, share your concerns about what’s at stake in this critical next nomination by expressing your disappointment in your senator's decision to vote yes on John Roberts.
