The short explanation of this alert was:

After months of stall tactics from anti-choice legislators, the Compassionate Care for Rape Victims bill (SB 129/AB 377) has FINALLY been scheduled for an Assembly floor vote!

The Compassionate Care for Rape Victims bill would require all Wisconsin emergency rooms to provide rape victims information about and access to emergency contraception.  Currently, only one-third of the hospitals in Wisconsin have a policy of dispensing emergency contraception without exception.

The vote will be very close and many representatives are still undecided and need to know the people in their district value access to emergency contraception for rape victims.
