The 2005-2006 school year has begun and again Montgomery County students will not have adequate sex education. 

As you've probably heard, because of strong pressure from nationally-funded anti-choice, anti-education groups, the updated Family Life and Human Development Curriculum was suspended. 

Montgomery County residents strongly support a comprehensive curriculum that includes a condom demonstration video and medically accurate information about preventing unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.

But the battle for sex ed in Montgomery County has just begun!  As part of the school board's settlement, a whole new sex ed curriculum will be developed.  It is our job to make sure this new curriculum reflects local values, and not those of outside ultra-conservative forces.

Our opponents have gathered 3,000 petition signatures.  So we have set a goal of 10,000! Click below to sign our petition supporting comprehensive sex ed in Montgomery County.
